doctor says Trump may have already gotten a COVID booster shot ‘in secret’

CNN’s Jim Acosta asked Dr. Jonathan Reiner, MD to respond to a quote from former President Donald Trump about whether he would get a COVID-19 booster shot.

Trump was interviewed by Yahoo Finance and was asked if he would get the shot.

“Well, I got the Pfizer and I would’ve been very happy with any of them,” said Trump. He was then asked if he would get the booster shot.” Well, if I felt it was necessary. I guess, I have sort of a double vaccine because, as you know, I had it, recovered from it pretty well.”

Dr. Reiner said that Trump’s answer should have been that he would absolutely get the booster shot and encourage his supporters to talk to their doctors if they need it as well. “Instead, he’s riffing [on] it. And if I had to guess, I would guess he’s already been boosted.”

“In secret,” said Acosta.

“Like the original vaccine. In secret,” said Dr. Reiner.
