Former President Donald Trump asked a Florida judge to force Twitter to give him access to his account In a preliminary injunction against Twitter filed Friday in the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
Twitter “exercises a degree of power and control over political discourse in this country that is immeasurable, historically unprecedented, and profoundly dangerous to open democratic debate,” lawyers for Trump wrote.
Twitter, when asked about the latest court filing, declined to comment.
Twitter banned Trump because of his potential to incite further violence following the deadly siege on the US Capitol in January, the platform said.
