the house is expected to take over $15,000 out of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s (R-GA) salary this year after being hit with more fines for refusing to wear a mask in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Greene was first fined in May as part of a group of House Republicans who refused to wear masks and again for an incident in the House on Sept. 8.
In a statement on Monday, the House Ethics Committee explained that Greene had racked up four additional fines.
the fines occurred on Sept. 22, 27, and 28. Greene received two fines on Sept. 28, the statement from the Committee said. Greene has previously received at least three fines for refusing to wear a mask on the House floor.
Taylor Greene’s first fine was $500 and an additional $2,500 was added for each subsequent offense.
