A Republican who has opposed mask and vaccine mandates and authored legislation prohibiting government officials or business owners from requiring proof of vaccination has Covid and is on a ventilator

Wisconsin Republican State Sen. André Jacque (R-De Pere) )  announced his diagnosis with the virus earlier this month, and has been hospitalized for at least a week.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel is now reporting that Sen. Andre Jacque of De Pere, Wisconsin, was being intubated as he struggles with the virus.  being intubated is typically considered a last-resort treatment
